Mumbles Development Trust is a grass-roots, not-for-profit organisation set up in 1999 and open to all people in the community who are committed to regenerating Mumbles through self-help projects and schemes. The trust works to improve the health and economic well-being of Mumbles for the betterment of the local community, working in partnership with community organisations and the statutory authorities. MDT has engaged in a range of projects over more than two decades of operation, from establishing the Mumbles Market, planting a community orchard, running a community archaeological project, monthly community cinema showings, to litter picks and a community radio station.
